As much as I try to keep this site up to date I am often far behind, but I am very active on social media so please like/follow me on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads for recent posts about my adventures and projects.
About Me
I am a woman with many obsessions and creative outlets. I grew up in northern Virginia and moved to western Washington two decades ago where I live with my son, my spouse, a black cat named Gally, and often, another cat or two that we have taken in off the street. We have lived in many cities around the Seattle area but now take residence in Tacoma.
My main hobby is exploring. I spend a lot of time hiking, camping, backpacking, traveling overseas, or taking the random weekend roadtrip. To pay the bills, I do busy computer stuff for a community non-profit that helps families with urgent mental health needs.
Outside of paid work, I love to volunteer my time and money (and often labor) to the community. I spent 6 years as a foster volunteer for an animal rescue. Now I volunteer for the National Forest Service through Snoqualmie Fire Lookout Association and the Forest Fire Lookout Association. I help with trail/road maintenance and staff fire lookouts. When I am not walking in the forest, watching for fires, managing data, or cuddling kitties, I am usually in my studio working on some art project. I have been creative all my life, always making things to give as gifts to my family and friends. I have taken plenty of specialized art classes and will take many more whenever given the opportunity. Learning is fun!
